SYNOPSIS

Lara has only one thought for her husband on their wedding day: I will bring your kingdom to its knees. A princess trained from childhood to be a lethal spy, Lara knows that the Bridge Kingdom represents both legendary evil - and legendary promise. The only route through a storm-ravaged world, the Bridge Kingdom controls all trade and travel between lands, allowing its ruler to enrich himself and deprive his enemies, including Lara's homeland. So when she is sent as a bride under the guise of fulfilling a treaty of peace, Lara is prepared to do whatever it takes to fracture the defenses of the impenetrable Bridge Kingdom.

But as she infiltrates her new home - a lush paradise surrounded by tempest seas - and comes to know her new husband, Aren, Lara begins to question where the true evil resides. Around her, she sees a kingdom fighting for survival, and in Aren, a man fiercely protective of his people. As her mission drives her to deeper understanding of the fight to possess the bridge, Lara finds the simmering attraction between her and Aren impossible to ignore. Her goal nearly within reach, Lara will have to decide her own fate: Will she be the destroyer of a king or the savior of her people?

Rating: 3 out of 5.

I don't really know where I stand with this one.

I started because of the hype and why not but guys... I don't think I liked it all that much.

Partially its because I read it on the course of a few days when its suppose to be a very bingeable book, I also listened to the audiobook, I am not saying its a bad one or anything but I do say that I wasn't inmersed into the story and I also lost track of what was going on a few times.

There was also so may political discussions that I wasn't able to follow and didn't care that much to be honest.

However, my 3 start rating is purely and merely because of the beginning and partially the end.

The start to this book was so powerful, and I instantly thought "this is going to be a great one". The ending was just something else, I wasn't really feeling the characters because again, I was kind of out of the story and the world but I know that if I would have been paying attention, I would have enjoyed it million times more.

I did also lived our woman main character she was just such a badass and such an intelligent woman that and the story a bit better for me.

Sadly, I will not be continuing this series, I just didn't care that much. Don't hate me for this review, I know this is a widely loved book and im genuinely sad about it, I was just on such bad place reading wise.

Maybe I will try it again in the future and hopefully continue the entirety of the series.

Have you read it, if so did you liked it? Let me know!

SYNOPSIS

Six teens murdered. A suspect behind bars. A desperate father. In a case this shadowy, the truth is easy to hide.

Six teenagers dead. Finally, the killer behind bars. But are the games just beginning?

Psychiatrist Dr. Gwen Moore is an expert on killers. She’s spent a decade treating California’s most depraved predators and unlocking their motives—predators much like the notorious Bloody Heart serial killer, whose latest teenage victim escaped and then identified local high school teacher Randall Thompson as his captor. The case against Thompson as the Bloody Heart Killer is damning—and closed, as far as Gwen and the media are concerned. If not for one new development…

Defense attorney Robert Kavin is a still-traumatized father whose own son fell prey to the BH Killer. Convinced of Thompson’s innocence, he steps in to represent him. Now Robert wants Gwen to interview the accused, create a psych profile of the killer and his victims, and help clear his client’s name.

As Gwen and Robert grow closer and she dives deeper into the investigation, grave questions arise. So does Gwen’s suspicion that Robert is hiding something—and that he might not be the only one with a secret.

Ok, WOWOWOWOWO. I loved this.

This was such an easy and fast read. I made a bit of a mistake when I paused it because I was doing a few readathons at the time, that's why the dates are so apart. It made me loose a bit the interest but once I picked it back up I couldn't stop reading.

It was such a twisty little plot, with so many character interwined.

There was perhaps a part in the middle that I enjoyed a bit less but other than that its fantastic.

The characters were sooo interesting, I felt like I know who they were but I had no idea what they were capable of doing and that's the magic of the book, not expecting the unexpected.

It surely had a few plot twists that I was not expecting at all and it kept my mouth open. From the 80 percent mark on, it comes one thing after the other and I- it was just do damn good.

I really down want to say much but I will tell you that everything is important and pay attention to details. Oh and also, no, its not who you think the murder is.

I truly recommend it, but please check the TW before, there are a definitely a few of them

Let me know if you read it!

REVIEW

⭐⭐⭐️⭐️⭐️

Rating: 5 out of 5.

“The only way I’d be willing to write a romance novel is if you’re one of the main characters.”

I fricking adored this book. It made me cry and its been a while since I felt so emotionally attached to a book.

The romance in this books is absolutely immaculate, how they love each other in such a tender way.

One of my favorites aspect of this story was the fact that he helped her to overcome on her biggest insecurities, which was the physical damage of the fire, but something that was way better than that was whenever he reminded her of how grateful she should be for even being a survivor of such a mortal experience.

“Because I don’t know if you’ve realized this yet, but you’re alive, Fallon. And every time you look in the mirror, you don’t have the right to hate what you see. Because you survived when a lot of people don’t get that lucky. So from now on when you think about your scars, you aren’t allowed to resent them. You’re going to embrace them, because you’re lucky to be on this earth to see them. And any guy you allow to touch your scars better thank you for that privilege.”

I don't know why but it made me feel extremely emotional the amazingly stunning quotes that the book has.

My heart broke and the it got pieced back together and THEN it broke once again.

I have no idea if this follows a specific trope but I want to read everything that comes close to this but lets face it, no book will ever compare.

It is surely not a very smutty book but that was exactly was I was looking for. I literally have no words to explain the million emotions that this book made me feel.

The characters in this story are so fleshed out, the type: I have never met this people but I feel like have known them for a lifetime. They just feel so real, Collen Hoover did an amazing job.

This is probably one of the books that I have read from CH so far, I know that some people say its their least favorite but personally its one of my top rated for sure.

Also reading Novemeber 9 on the 9th of November just makes the experience completely different.

I can not wait for the reread next year!

REVIEW

⭐⭐

Rating: 2 out of 5.

This was a very disappointing and boring read. I am so sorry about it since the premise of the book sounded absolutely stunning and like something that I would surely enjoy but it turns out I didn’t.

The characters were so boring and bland and it felt like they really didn’t have a lot of reasoning to kill, sure the few firsts were understandable but from there it when downhill. They were also so cold and distant from the reader that made me not excited to keep reading it.

They also seemed to have such a perfect life while being literal murders, and there were a few things here and there that did not made fricking sense.

I guess that one star is for the few twits that it had, I was not expecting them but since I felt super disconnected with the story it made me not care at all. I am so sad I didn’t liked this, please let me know if you have you read it and if so, did you liked it?

REVIEW

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Rating: 4 out of 5.

This was such a lovely time! I absolutely loved (almost) every single moment of it.

The main character was so powerful and she stood up for herself which is something we need in fantasy books, specially the ones that are set in a past time.

I really really liked the love interest main character as well, he supported her so fricking much and it was so lovely to see.

However I did find him kind of a typical love interest, there was nothing remarkable about him but still they were so cute together.

The plot itself wasn't all that original, it definitely feels like something that I have read before and like a very much typical fantasy romance book, but that was the only reason why I didn't gave it 5 starts. It is also such a bingeable book which made it super easy to fly through.

It didn't had a super complex fantasy system nor a very hard to understand world which again made it a super easy read.

Overall I do really recommend it! Unless you are looking for an epic high fantasy, this is definitely not it.

SYNOPSIS

Hannah's a witch, but not the kind you're thinking of. She's the real deal, an Elemental with the power to control fire, earth, water, and air. But even though she lives in Salem, Massachusetts, her magic is a secret she has to keep to herself. If she's ever caught using it in front of a Reg (read: non-witch), she could lose it. For good. So, Hannah spends most of her time avoiding her ex-girlfriend (and fellow Elemental Witch) Veronica, hanging out with her best friend, and working at the Fly By Night Cauldron selling candles and crystals to tourists, goths, and local Wiccans.

But dealing with her ex is the least of Hannah's concerns when a terrifying blood ritual interrupts the end-of-school-year bonfire. Evidence of dark magic begins to appear all over Salem, and Hannah's sure it's the work of a deadly Blood Witch. The issue is, her coven is less than convinced, forcing Hannah to team up with the last person she wants to see: Veronica.

While the pair attempt to smoke out the Blood Witch at a house party, Hannah meets Morgan, a cute new ballerina in town. But trying to date amid a supernatural crisis is easier said than done, and Hannah will have to test the limits of her power if she's going to save her coven and get the girl, especially when the attacks on Salem's witches become deadlier by the day.

Isabel Sterling's delightful, suspenseful debut is equal parts sweet romance and thrilling mystery. With everything she loves on the line, Hannah must confront this murderous villain before her coven--and any chance she has with the new girl--is destroyed.

REVIEW

⭐⭐⭐

Rating: 3 out of 5.

This was quite a pleasant surprise I would say, it is the literal synopsis so i kind of knew what it was about.

It was a very fun and fluffy contemporary that also had some magical elements to it, but it wasn’t overpowering at all. I would not say this is a book with a lot of fantasy but more in the YA contemporary vibes.

I really don’t know were I stand with this one, which I hate because i would so much rather have a strong opinion whether its a good or a bad one. I mean it was a fun time, hence the 3 star rating, but it’s definitely a forgettable story. This is the reason why I will not be continuing with this series, I don’t know what but there was something missing.

The romance was also fun and cute, nothing exaordinary nor original but it was entraining to read about.

Like I said its a fun time, but if you are looking for a super witchy book this is absolutely not it however I do recommend reading it!

Hi readers! I know it’s already the second week of November buuuttt here is my November tbr. Just like every single month, my pile of books is quite big. I like to be really ambitious but this does not mean that I am actually going to get to all of them. This is more of a guide to what I could potentially read of I Feel like it and some of them you could expect them to be on here soon!

THE TBR

FOUL IS FAIR: I could not feel you for how long I have been reading this book and I really want to finish it. It’s good, it is definitely a very different story but I think my problem Is that I started it when I was in a bit of a reading slump. But I hopefully will be able to finish this one during the month of November.

BURN OUR BODIES DOWN: I was meant to read this one in October but I never got to it. And the other day I was browsing the internet and found a second handed copy of this one soooo I’m now really feeling like reading the one.

MY LOVELY WIFE: Again, another one that I wasn’t able to finish in October, so we are dragging it into November. I will give you a little bit of a sneak peak of what I think, It being really good so far, super fun and I am actually really enjoying it! So I’m super excited to finish this one soon.

HOW WE FALL APART: This is yet again (are we even surprised at this point) an unfinished October read, October has just been a very bad month reading wise so I have so many unfinished books that I am really hoping to get to doing November. This book I am not really really liking because it feels a very unoriginal story which it doesn’t make me excited to pick it back up.

KINGDOM OF THE CURSED: As you would have probably heard, the second book in the kingdom of the cursed is already out! And I’m quite excited about it, however I have heard not so great things about it but still I am going to read it. Hopefully I will get to it during November.

THE GOOD LIE: I am always up for a thriller, no matter the time of the year. This is quite a gory book so It will be nice to pick it up if I feel overwhelmed with the rest or just If I want to have an easy quick read!

SIX CRIMSON CRANES: This is a very recent buy of mine, stunning book and more interesting story. So this is absolutely one of my main top priorities going into November.

YOU’VE REACHED SAM: This is a November 2021 anticipated release, its coming out the 9th of November and I literally can not wait. Also on the top of my list. It sound like everything I would want to read, sad story to compensate the last horror books that I have been reading!

And that’s my November tbr, like I said before I it quite unlikely for me to stick to this list of books, it always depends on the mood that I am in!

What are you all going to be reading in November? Let me know!
