Girl, Serpent, Thorn

There was and there was not, as all stories begin, a princess cursed to be poisonous to the touch. But for Soraya, who has lived her life hidden away, apart from her family, safe only in her gardens, it’s not just a story.

As the day of her twin brother’s wedding approaches, Soraya must decide if she’s willing to step outside of the shadows for the first time. Below in the dungeon is a demon who holds knowledge that she craves, the answer to her freedom. And above is a young man who isn’t afraid of her, whose eyes linger not with fear, but with an understanding of who she is beneath the poison.

Soraya thought she knew her place in the world, but when her choices lead to consequences she never imagined, she begins to question who she is and who she is becoming...human or demon. Princess or monster.

Hi readers! I hope you all had an amazing summer, unfortunately is now over (at least over here haha) and now its time to get back to work! Honestly I am quite excited for it, to get back into a healthy routine and be able to bring so many updates and fun stuff for all of you!

Before I get into detail with todays review, I wanted to share that I have created a Pinterest profile for the blog! LINK HERE. It is something i have been wanting to have for a very long time and finally sat down to set it all up. Also I am going to try and be more active on twitter even though I don’t really know how to use it LOL, you can follow me HERE

After this self promo interruption, lets get into todays Book Review!

This was such a fun and good fantasy book. I enjoyed it so much!
The story was super well done and everything but staningly well built, however, I did had a hard time keeping up with all of the different characters, specially at the beginning. There were so many different names and roles and I was so lost at times that kind of made me enjoy it a bit less.

Eve tho the world building was super well done, I think it really wasn’t for me, I couldn’t really get into the story and feel the characters because felt quite disconnected from the story almost the whole time. I’m could have been my own problem (*reading slumps we hate you*) so I am absolutely not blaming it on the book LOL.

I did liked however, the whole plot, the fact that she had a mortal curse and couldn’t touch other people, WOW, i adored that. ALSO some plot twist here and there that made me re read the chapter like three times to make sure that it was truly happening.

I have seen this book ALL over the place and I genuinely hate the fact that I have not enjoyed it as much as I would have loved to. This is definitely not my definite review on it, I will most probably read this one again (once I have an actual physical copy of it LOL) and get back here to write all about it!

Regardless, it still was a fun time and I am sure if the sinopsis sounds appealing to you, you will most definitely enjoy it! If you do so, please let me know so that I can find the motivation to read it again haha.
