☼SYNOPSIS

Seventeen-year-old Kiva Meridan has spent the last ten years fighting for survival in the notorious death prison, Zalindov, working as the prison healer.

When the Rebel Queen is captured, Kiva is charged with keeping the terminally ill woman alive long enough for her to undergo the Trial by Ordeal: a series of elemental challenges against the torments of air, fire, water, and earth, assigned to only the most dangerous of criminals.

Then a coded message from Kiva’s family arrives, containing a single order: “Don’t let her die. We are coming.” Aware that the Trials will kill the sickly queen, Kiva risks her own life to volunteer in her place. If she succeeds, both she and the queen will be granted their freedom.

But no one has ever survived.

With an incurable plague sweeping Zalindov, a mysterious new inmate fighting for Kiva’s heart, and a prison rebellion brewing, Kiva can’t escape the terrible feeling that her trials have only just begun.

I freaking love this book. I was so invested into the story it’s not about funny how I spent literally hours thinking about it after I finished it.

we are following our female main character, she’s in a prison and she’s the healer (pretty much the title is very self explanatory), but she’s also in charge of I guess healing all of the new prisoners that comes and that’s how she meets our male main character.

they developed this relationship that I felt instantly in love with our male main character was so likable so caring of her and I just wanted to hug him. but this is in no way the only thing that’s interesting about this book because behind story there’s this political conflict that’s going on and we’re being introduced to a lot of different characters that has to do with the story and it has to do with what’s happening outside the prison.

A lot of things happened in this book, so many that you don’t even have time to get bored like there’s always something going on and there’s many cliffhangers so you need to keep reading but none of them compare to the ending of this book because the cliffhanger that this book has made me stay awake for hours thinking about it and THEN buying the second book.

also I really want to mention the friend of the female character I think he was called tipp, I freaking loved him I could cry talking about tipp because he has my heart.

anyways PLEASE read this book, it’s so worth it!

☼SYNOPSIS

A newly single girl. A tall dark handsome stranger. What could go wrong?

It’s 7 a.m. on a Monday morning and Abby Reynolds isn’t where she wants to be. She wants to be in her beautiful loft apartment in Manhattan, drinking a coffee with her fiancé.

Instead, she’s heading back to the childhood home in rural Ireland she swore she’d never return to, with some big old secrets. Namely that she’s suddenly found herself unemployed, homeless, and absolutely 100% single.

She’s feeling all out of luck. Until the first person she meets after she touches down is an absurdly hot guy called Luke, who offers her a lift home. Gazing deep into his sparkling emerald-green eyes, Abby knows instantly that he’s exactly what she needs to take her mind off everything. The perfect rebound.

It’s a flawless plan. Until the next day, when Abby realizes who he actually is. Not just a stranger. He is, in fact, Luke Bailey, aka the boy next door. Luke Bailey who—so help her God—she’s pretty sure she once shared baths with, back when they were kids. Not that she can allow herself to imagine him in a bath now, not without blushing from head to foot.

And judging by the smirk on his face, the same Luke Bailey who’s known exactly who she was the whole time… And who, like everyone in the village, still thinks she’s a high-flying New Yorker… who’s getting married next year.

Abby is certain getting under Luke will help her get over her ex. But the truth is stopping her. Can she admit to everyone back home that she’s single and has lost everything? Because, if she wants the boy next door, she may just have to…

The perfect feel-good romantic comedy that will make you laugh until you cry and fall completely in love. Fans of Sophie Kinsella, Marian Keyes, and Emily Henry won’t be able to put this down!

This was a stunning rom com. I loved it!

We are following our MC who is going though a very rough time, everything seems to go wrong and she is in this situation where she is being forced to move back to her hometown with her sister for a while until she is able to go back to her normal life.

but in the time that she spends in this beautiful Irish town, her life seems to be going better than she expected.

This was such an easy read and one that I found myself immersed in. It has one of my favorite tropes which is childhood friends and it was so well executed that you actually feel their chemistry.

The romance was soooo cute and also so hilarious at times!

Even tho this is a romance book there was an element that was even better in my opinion, which was the sisters relationship. It felt so familiar and it really did hit close to home because it was SO relatable. I could see myself in that position where I move to a different place far away from my family and you drift apart from your loved ones.

Honestly this felt like such a nice remainder to maybe get in contact with a relative that lives in a different place because even if you don't see them that often they are still there.

I just loved everything about it, how it started, how you then get to see all of the beautiful relationships develop and how is ended, in a way it had a super happy ending but it also made me tear up a bit.

Again, a stunning fluffy contemporary that I feel like everyone would love!

at first I was very confused an even disappointed with this book, everything happened so fast and it didn’t made sense to me and I was just upset about it, sooooo I went into Goodreads because you know I was considering dnfing it and then people were saying that at first nothing makes sense, everything happens too fast but then it makes sense and oh boy they were right.

I am actually very glad that I ended up finishing this book because it was good. not like a super memorable book type of deal but very enjoyable nonetheless.

like i said I can be confusing in the beginning, trust me I was just thinking “what the F is going on” but everything just wraps up and I was just like oh my God I did not expect that. there was a plot twist you guys and that feeling of understanding makes me feel really good.

their Romance was amazing, they were just so cute together and our main character was a freaking badass I absolutely loved her.

please read this book and if you ever feel confused just wait it will make sense I promise.

☼SYNOPSIS

ollege was supposed to be my chance to get over my ugly-duckling complex and spread my wings. Instead, I wound up in a sorority full of mean girls. I already have a hard time fitting in, so when my Kappa Chi sisters issue the challenge, I can’t say no.

The dare: seduce the hottest new hockey player in the junior class.

Conor Edwards is a regular at Greek Row parties…and in Greek Row sorority beds. He’s the one you fall for before you learn that guys like him don’t give girls like me a second glance. Except Mr. Popular throws me for a loop—rather than laughing in my face, he does me a solid by letting me take him upstairs to pretend we’re getting busy.

Even crazier, now he wants to keep pretending. Turns out Conor loves games, and he thinks it’s fun to pull the wool over my frenemies’ eyes.

But resisting his easy charm and surfer-boy hotness is darn near impossible. Though I’m realizing there’s much more to Conor’s story than his fan club can see.

And the longer this silly ruse goes on, the greater the danger of it all blowing up in my face.

so it’s actually been a bit since I read this book so it’s been long-overdue to talk about.

now I will say this one was my least favorite of the entire series by far.

their romance happened incredibly fast, so much that it felt unreal.

he literally talk to her for an hour and fell in love? hhhhmmm i don’t buy it i’m sorry.

i did loved how the main character was described curvier than the previous MC that we have seen in this series, and how she so damn sexy, loved that.

but overall i didn’t liked it all that much, again it all happened WAY too fast, even faster than the previous ones and that is to say a lot.

maybe I just wasn’t in the mood when I read it or at least not as much as I was with the first ones but this is the conclusion that I’ve came up with.

however I do recommend reading this entire series even if the last one was not as strong as the first ones I do feel like it’s so worth it!

this was quite a disappointing read for me so we’re not off to a great start.

you’ll be the death of me was actually one of my most anticipated releases of 2021 and it did not delivered as much as I thought it would.

we are actually following very unlikable main characters,to be fair I just didn’t like them.

they were very childish but then at the same time they were dealing with grown-up stuff but.

they just kept arguing about the stupidest things ever when being in this very complicated legal position and they just couldn’t focus on it and couldn’t let go of stupid things that happened when they were children and they just kept bringing it up and it bothered me.

to be completely honest it didn’t make sense to me I did not like the ending of this book.

I just hate when it all comes down to drugs and I felt like it was lack of an actual reason.

i’m actually very glad that I decided to spend one of my audible credits on this book because otherwise I don’t know if I would’ve been able to finish it it just got.. boring.

overall not one of the best YA mystery thriller books out there for sure but if you still want to read it and gather your own opinions I will encourage you to because from what I’ve seen there has been people that have actually enjoyed it.

looking back on it maybe three stars is even a bit high.

☼SYNOPSIS

A deeply honest investigation of what it means to be a woman and a commodity from Emily Ratajkowski, the archetypal, multi-hyphenate celebrity of our time

Emily Ratajkowski is an acclaimed model and actress, an engaged political progressive, a formidable entrepreneur, a global social media phenomenon, and now, a writer. Rocketing to world fame at age twenty-one, Ratajkowski sparked both praise and furor with the provocative display of her body as an unapologetic statement of feminist empowerment. The subsequent evolution in her thinking about our culture’s commodification of women is the subject of this book.

My Body is a profoundly personal exploration of feminism, sexuality, and power, of men's treatment of women and women's rationalizations for accepting that treatment. These essays chronicle moments from Ratajkowski’s life while investigating the culture’s fetishization of girls and female beauty, its obsession with and contempt for women’s sexuality, the perverse dynamics of the fashion and film industries, and the gray area between consent and abuse.

Nuanced, fierce, and incisive, My Body marks the debut of a writer brimming with courage and intelligence.

I guess that my opinion on someone else's live is really not that valid but I enjoyed this a lot so here we go. It really is such an insightful story, especially because people like me really have no idea about how the modeling industry works and the horrible things that happen behind that veil of beauty and perfection.

To be honest, my expectations were low, I have always been one that was super interested into the whole modeling world and this story kind of tore it apart.

Her writing style was truly amazing and I really loved the way she talked about everything, she did really used the perfect words every time.

I belive that people should read this, we should all be educated into knowing how models lives are when they are expected to be in such high standarts.

I understood what she was talking about, believe it or not for how different our lives are, I felt it.

Truly an amazing story, its so fucked up, but the voices of women who have gone though stuff like that need to be heard. obviously not just models, but all women should speak up. And we should help each other, to be seen and to be respected.
